GN #380B/BN #9709
Title:  GN #380B/BN #9709
Description:  Built in August 1952 as freight-geared F7B #460B, and regeared for passenger service in 1969 as #380B. After the BN merger, the #380B was renumbered with other passenger-geared units into the #97xx-series as #9709. Several years later, after Amtrak ceased leasing units and a number of E's were assigned to the Racetrack, the #9709 was renumbered #705 for freight service. The #705 was retired and sold to the Precision National Corporation in December 1980. Scanned with an Epson V550 from a Kodak-processed Ektachrome duplicate 35mm slide.
