Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1053, a D-8A (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops during July of 1883, Pittsburgh Division Special Engine prior to 1893 to 1906, and sold to Eyre Construction in June of 1906 after 23 years of faithful service.

Note that it's stenciled in full, "Pennsylvania Rail Road."
