Album Info:I continued my trip to Canada to see steam by taking a sleeper from Montreal to MccAdam, N.B. which is close to the Maine border and a junction of few lines including the CP's route across Maine. The junction had a large engine facility and there were a dozen or so active steam engines there in several wheel arrangements.

Description:  The Canadian Pacific sleeper I rode from Montreal was left early in the morning on the station siding. G2u 4-6-2 2660 (built by Montreal 1913) came in on a freight and is moving to the roundhouse in the background.

Title:  CP's McADAM TURNTABLE
Description:  Canadian Pacific F1a 4-4-4 2926. The 4-4-4 type is rare but CP built twenty in 1937-38 after building five in 1936 with higher 80" drivers. The Pacific in the background next to the backshop is supplying emergency steam to the shop.

Description:  Foggy morning. Canadian Pacific V4a 0-8-0 6928 was built as a Consolidation by CP's Angus Shops in 1907 but converted to a switcher in 1928. Note that on the pit wall is a typical recess used to inspect the turntable mechanism and to make repairs. That pit wall really needs a new coat of white paint

Description:  Canadian Pacific F-1a 4-4-4 2926 at the CP's McAdam Hotel and Station with the train to St.Andrews. The CP called its original five 4-4-4's built in 1936 the Jubilee type. 2926 is one of the twenty built in 1937-38 with drivers reduced from 80" to 75".
