Description:  I chased Train 143 into Fort Erie, expecting a nice shot in perfect sunlight from the Central Avenue bridge, but the sun ducked behind the clouds just as the train came into view. It doesn't look like much, but at upper left is CN Duff yard, all that's left of a once bustling railroad industrial complex.

Description:  I decided to venture into Port Colborne, hoping to catch TRRY 1859, and was in for a treat. Here the vintage ALCO heads east on Port Colborne Harbour Railway trackage pushing two grain hoppers - cleaving the backs of the Clarence Street stores on the south, and the residential area on the north. But I wasn't finished with this train just yet.

Description:  After a very short chase, I got this pic, from my car, as TRRY 1859 rolled passed the old Grand Trunk Railway station, built in 1910. The tracks are gone, the old iron swing bridge over the old Welland Canal is still there (but fenced-off), and a bike trail now occupies the right-of-way just east of this spot - where long-gone tracks once connected Port Colborne with far away Fort Erie.

Description:  Always looking for new spots to watch and photograph trains, my trail today led to the South Niagara Rowing Club grounds, adjacent to the CP Hamilton Subdivision, just east of CP Welland yard. I had my fingers crossed for about an hour, watching the thick dark clouds creeping ever closer. But I totally lucked out, the sun lighting up CP 247 as the train rolled under the Canal Bank Road overpass.
