The East Penn gave up operations on this line a little over a year after this photo was taken with the new Allentown & Auburn Railroad taking over. The vintage 1937 unit would later move to the ESPN Venice Industrial Track operation near Philadelphia. |

EMC constructed this unit in 1937 as a model NC for the Philadelphia Bethlehem & New England Railroad. Originally numbered PBNE 209, it was later rebuilt as an SW-900 and renumbered to its present road number, the first of two locomotive on the PBNE roster to be numbered as such.
