UP 6422
This is what's left rolling from a UP train that derailed near milepost 306.1 on the UP Mt. Vernon Sub. There were 20 cars of this 80 car train that derailed overnight at about 2:30 a.m. The derailment also block the BNSF Beardstown Sub. because it happened near and on the diamond. This photo here shows the front of the train taking what's rolling to Bush, IL and the cars on the other end of the train, those cars were taken North to Salem, IL. The train originated in Chicago and was headed to Houston, TX.

Tyler Hays General Amazing but a sad story too. At least hopefully it won't happen again. Here is a modification that surprised me on this that this on has low ditch lights. Even the grade crossing gate to the right must of came on late w/gates dropping especially on your next shot. Nice one, Jim! 1/11/2010 3:28:07 PM
