Here is page three of a five-page cover article by Frederick Westing entitled "An American Beauty." It was published originally in the August 1954 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 24. Partial Caption: "Polished like a fire engine, a latter-day D-16sb in a company publicity photo." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1223, a D-16SB (4-4-0) "American" built in Juniata as a D-16B during 1905, rebuilt as a D-16SB, sold to the Strasburg Rail Road in October of 1960, and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg.
