CN 4-8-4 #6251 - Canadian National         
Beautiful action shot of Canadian National 4-8-4 #6251 Confederation (CN's label for the Northern) just outside Sainte-Rosalie, Quebec, Canada. Built in October of 1943 by the Montreal Locomotive Works, it served barely 17 years before heading to the scrapper's torch in April of 1960. Note on the back of the photo - "CN Montreal Express, tr 3 nearing Sainte-Rosalie Jc, Que. w/15 cars. 1956" Specs - serial #70319, class U-2-h, 73" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 25.5x30" cylinders, engine weight of 400,300 lb, tractive effort of 56,786 lb.
