PRR 9795, EF-15A, 1965 Editors Pick!
Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train between SLOPE and WORKS Towers in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 06 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) is PRR engine #9795 and two other units whose numbers are not legible. All were built by EMD. #9795 is an EF-15A built in 1951 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. They are pulling an eastbound mixed-cargo freight and are about to pass under the 24th Street Bridge.
