This must have been quite an event. A head on collision. #85 must have been the lead locomotive in a double header. A 4-4-0, MEC #85 was renumbered from 126 in 1900. From Rhode Island, it was built in November of 1887 and sold in June 1905. Do you supose it was rebuilt after this smash up? RR History says it was sold and not scrapped. /DL |
