Eastbound and Alcos  Contributor's Pick!
This eastbound had an SD 40 leading, but three 6 axle MLWs in the consist for its 106 cars. Eastern Canada was Alco paradise in this time, long after the US class 1s had shed them from their rosters. Note the white flags, denoting an extra train. All CP freights ran as extras, and all flew the correct flags. This was another practice that was a lost art in the US.
