CB&Q 2-10-2 #6307 - Chicago, Burlington & Quincy  Contributor's Pick!       
Nearing the end of its life, this 1919 Alco-Brooks Santa Fe-type steam locomotive sits quietly near the Denver locomotive shops. It will eventually be scrapped sometime between 1953-54. According to the Burlington Route Historical Society records, this loco along with its nine M3 class sisters were leased to the affiliate Colorado & Southern by CB&Q. Specifics - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 30x32" cylinders, engine weight of 394,600 lb, a respectable tractive effort of 77.714 lb. No photographer listed.
