CN local crosses the Newberry Trail as it approaches the former C&NW bridge over the Fox River Navigation Canal while heading westward through the Flats in Appleton, WI on 24 May ’14. Local was headed back to the yard at Appleton Junction after servicing Kimberly, Combined Locks, and eastern Appleton. You can see part of the train in the background as it descends the grade adjacent to the Newberry Trail.
