Budd and Branch  Contributor's Pick!
In January 1984, Metro North ran a trip called "Budd and Branch" which was to cover all the ex New Haven branches served by MN. Danbury and Waterbury were not a big deal, they were done by RDCs and FL 9s every day. Here we see the trip at New Canaan, which almost never saw diesel powered trains. BTW, the RDCs apparently were balky that day, and the trip ran with a pair of coaches sandwiched between a pair of FL 9s.
