| Well, after 18 years of being out on the road, I finally caught El Diablo. It's the trailing unit on the M-KCKEMP, which had to tie down, and leave their train on the siding, affording me this view of it from 11th St. in Lawrence, KS. The light was so generously provided by an early-arriving Amtrak #3. For those of you not familiar with the nickname, its due to the fact that this unit was delivered as the ATSF 666, and later renumbered to the 599 following a number of complaints. |
