Al Seever	General	Judging by the shape of the nose, this was probably the SP C-628 that received a GE cab and nose. One C-628 was wrecked while on lease to the L&N. They rebuilt it with a GE cab and nose.	2/23/2012 8:24:32 PM

Mark Bridgwater	General	That is correct; this (SP slug #1000) was built from C628 SP 7121, the unit that was wrecked and rebuilt with a GE cab and short hood. The short hood survived into the slug rebuild, while the other to slugs (#1001 and 1002) had their original Alco short hoods.
