| On July 23, 2011, running a little over eight hours behind schedule, Amtraks "Southwest Chief" is nearing the end of its run as it blasts through Placentia, California. Two and half miles ahead is the stop at Fullerton, and then it is on to an arrival in Los Angeles. The train normally passes through here at about 6:30 am, but today it is 2:30 pm by the time the "Chief" passes through. |
