Description:  Going away shot of 636s power at Dodge Center. The DM&E is one of the few railroads left in the US that you can still see lashups like this on a daily basis. Of special interest is the last unit, it used to be Soo 6411 back in the day.

Description:  After meeting 487 on the other end of the siding, 636 got a new track warrant to MP 20 (Lewiston) and is on the move again with a neat lashup. Sure did sound nice!

Title:  EMD Roar
Description:  With a speed limit of 30 mph on the jointed rail and a steep grade too, train 636 was giving it all it had to make maybe 20 mph as it roared up to Eyota. After I took this shot, I wished I had taken video to capture the sound. Sharp eyes will see that the right side of the shot is distorted, I believe the image sensor has a screwed up some how.

Description:  Growing up with the Wisconsin Central, I quickly developed a soft spot for the SD45's. To still be able to see them, even without their 20 cylinder 645, is very much a blessing in todays age. Shoot em while you can, although too many people just ignore leasers, they are definately some of the neatest and oldest units still around.

Title:  Leased power
Description:  I've had a really dry spell recently in my efforts to catch anything other than CSX units leading trains on the "water level route". So when I heard these guys calling signals and talking with dispatch, I hit the road! I could have set up for a better shot if it was'nt for the 15 seconds we were held at a nearby red light. By the way, the CITX 2792 is leading the K408 here.
